Overview
This article provides insights on how failover clustering works in the GFI LanGuard environment along with a reference link to view the supported versions of SQL.
Information
- SQL failover clustering is an environmental variable which LanGuard does not control. As far as LanGuard sees this database, it is still communicating with the same SQL server.
- The capability of failover is entirely within the customer's environment, and the switching is not managed by anything within GFI or LanGuard's control.
- The only extra caveat would be in the case of a catastrophic server failure if the clustered nodes were not 100% synchronized.
- It would be possible to lose the scan information, but this should be resolved by running another scan, reporting the information again, and importing it to the failover database.
