Overview
By default, whenever GFI LanGuard has to perform any action on a Client machine, such as installing a new patch, the user is warned of this activity by the following message:
Warning!! GFI LanGuard is now performing administrative tasks...
You can customize the warning message according to your preference. This article guides you on how to change the text display for the administrative task warning message.
Process
- Open the following file using a text editor:
...\ProgramData\GFI\LANguard XX\PatchManagement\spwarningmessages.xml - In this file, there is one section for each Language. Search for the Language where your GFI LanGuard has been installed and edit the text in the following nodes of the respective language section:
<WarnMsg_CustomUpdates_Wait>and<WarnMsg_CustomUpdates_DoNotWait>
