Overview
The Vulnerability and Patches tabs within the LanGuard dashboard allow users to take specific Dashboard Actions on devices and groups. This article provides information explaining the use of each of these actions.
Introduction
The Actions section enables users to manage and remediate vulnerabilities and missing patches found in the network. They can be access from the Vulnerabilities and Patches tabs of the LanGuard Dashboard. The available Dashboard Actions are:
Description
Remediate
It launches the Remediation Center to manually:
- Deploy Software Updates
- Uninstall Software Updates
- Deploy Custom Software
- Uninstall Applications
- Perform Malware Protection actions
- Remediate issues via Remote Desktop Connection
Acknowledge
It launches the Rule - Acknowledge Patch dialogue, which enables users to acknowledge particular issues for specific machines so that they do not affect the Vulnerability level of the network. The acknowledgement rules can be applied to the current selection or the entire network.
Ignore
It launches the Rule - Ignore Patch dialogue. This enables users to ignore missing patches or vulnerabilities so that they will not be reported as issues in the future for specific machines during the specified period. It also includes reasons for ignoring such vulnerabilities. The rules can be applied to the current selection or the entire network.
Change Severity
It launches the Rule - Change Severity dialogue, which enables users to change the severity level of vulnerability for specific machines. The rules can be applied to the current selection or the entire network.
Rules Manager
It launches the Rules Manager dialogue, which enables users to search and remove configured rules and view the reasons why the missing patches and vulnerabilities were ignored.
