The next day after running the remediations you generate reports and the patches already installed the previous day are not showing there.
The most common root cause for such a situation is that target machines were not scanned after remediation job deployed the patches. When endpoints are scanned, the results are saved in LanGuard backend database which later on provides the information for reporting.
To ensure that the most recent results are displayed, apply one of the solutions below:
- Enable the "Run a patch verification scan after deployment" option in the Auto-Deployment settings After Deployment tab, according to the Configuring Auto-Remediation Options article. It will be run immediately after the remediation is complete, or if a reboot is needed after the machine reboots.
- Alternatively, you can run a separate missing patches scan on the target machines or schedule an interactive scan at the desired time frame.
Once the scan is complete generate the report and verify that the information is accurate. If the issue persists, contact GFI LanGuard Support.
