Overview
This article guides you on using the GFI LanGuard console Activity Monitor to track scanning operations in progress and already completed, check automatic patch downloads, remediation operations, and the program updates history.
Information
The Activity Monitor tab in the GFI LanGuard console enables you to monitor active security scans, remediation jobs, and download operations of missing updates and security definitions.
Monitoring Security Scans
In the Security Scans section, you can monitor all scans currently in progress or already completed. The Interactive (Manual) scan still in progress can be tracked from the Scan tab instead to follow it in real-time. Once such a scan is completed, its results are stored in the Scan Results backend database and subsequently appear in the Activity Monitor.
Manually imported scan results are also displayed here even though this LanGuard instance did not actually perform them.
To monitor security scans, go to the GFI LanGuard console Activity Monitor tab, and from the left panel, click Security Scans.
Drag and drop a column header to the designated area above the first row to group the scans by criteria.
Here you can:
-
Select the active scan(s) and click Stop selected scans to stop them.
-
View scan result details
-
Filter the scans
