Overview

You want to recreate a historic vulnerability report from an earlier period and would like to know whether it is possible to regenerate the report for a given date range.

Solution

The current possibilities for customizing a vulnerability status report allow for generating a report for the last 3 months, last year, or older than a year. It is not possible to select a custom time range if this is what you are looking for.

You might want to submit a feature request to bring to the attention of the product management team for the inclusion of this functionality in future versions of LanGuard.

If a customized report with the timestamp set to ‘Last Year’ or a similar time frame is returning no results with the message “No records matching the current criteria were found!” it is possible that the data may no longer be available in the scan database due to your retention policies.

To check what these are, do the following:

• Navigate to configuration > Database Maintenance Options.
• Select "Manage retention policy".
• Check what the configuration settings are for keeping scan results.
• If the period indicated is less than the period you are trying to generate a report for, the data would have already been removed from the database.
