Overview
You have two different LanGuard servers to patch servers and workstations separately, and they are running on different LanGuard versions. Accidentally, you've deployed an updated LanGuard Agent version from one of the LanGuard consoles to machines managed by another console, then removed them, and are concerned about the after-effects.
Solution
There would not normally be two different agents installed on the same machine. An upgrade from the wrong LanGuard server would update the agent version installed and not install a separate agent. To fix the situation, you have to:
- Uninstall the agent and remove the corresponding machines from the "wrong" LanGuard console.
- Redeploy the agent from the "correct" LanGuard console.
Agent data, such as allocation to OU, attributes, etc., is saved to the SQL database. If you have a single database used by both deployments, it would be recommended to split it before performing the operations above. Back up the current database, create a new database on one of the installations, import the data to this new database.
