LanGuard remediation jobs don't receive any update from Patch Agent and are failing.
The common root causes for remediation jobs failing while waiting for Patch Agent are environmental issues. The temporary Patch Agent service has to be successfully installed on the target machine, be able to copy all the required files, and communicate to the LanGuard server the results; refer to Explaining LanGuard Patch Deployment Process for more information.
- Check whether the files required by the LanGuard to remediate were blocked by your firewall or similar protection engines, and add any necessary file/URL exclusions based on the firewall logs.
- Ensure that the GFI LanGuard Attendant service and any alternative credentials are configured according to the Best Practices for Setting up Account Permissions with Alternative Credentials in LanGuard.
- Verify Required Network Connectivity and Security Permissions to ensure the basic requirements for successful operations.
Rerun the failing remediation job. If the issue persists, contact GFI LanGuard Support.
