Overview
You synchronized the LanGuard console with AD; however, it did not import the OU. Resync completes without any change, and the option to delete the imported groups is greyed out.
Solution
The common reasons for the AD synchronization issues are the corruption of the AD sync cache file or the problems with the domain credentials.
To resolve this:
- Delete the AD sync cache file, by default in the shared data directory -
C:\ProgramData\GFI\LanGuard 12\Cache\activedirectorycomputers.xml
. - Launch the LanGuard console, go to the Dashboard tab, right-click on the Domain in question in the Computer Tree, and select Properties.
- Ensure the correct username and password are entered in the General tab Credentials section, and configure desired discovery options for your domain in the Network Discovery tab.
- Once ready, Synchronize LanGuard Computer Tree with Active Directory.
Testing
Upon synchronization process completion, verify the results. If the issue persists, contact GFI LanGuard Support.
