Overview
You've noticed that a machine is flagged in LanGuard with an exclamation mark as needing a restart to complete updates. You restarted the computer already and rescanned it, but the exclamation mark still shows up.
Solution
The reason for such an issue is that the follow-up scan performed didn't have a relevant check to clear the exclamation mark. In order to update LanGuard with the information that the machines have been rebooted, you will need to re-scan the machines, making sure that the scan profile you use is configured to scan for system information.
If the machine indeed rebooted after the remediation, the flag should be removed.
If this is happening regularly, you may want to create a scheduled uptime scan by following the KB article Creating, Editing, and Configuring a Scheduled Scan.
Alternatively, you can also enable a Patch verification scan after deployment as per the article - Configuring Auto-Remediation Options (under Point # 5: After Deployment). This will help to update LanGuard of the machine's current status after the remediation job has been completed.
If the issue persists, contact GFI LanGuard Support.
