Overview
You've noticed that there are no new patches or vulnerability definitions available in the Scanning Profiles after a specific date weeks ago. Yet when you run Check for updates in Configurations -> Program updates, the process completes without any error.
Solution
The most common root cause for stale patch and vulnerability definitions despite successful product updates is running an outdated LanGuard version that no longer receives updated definitions.
To fix this, please Upgrade the GFI LanGuard. to the latest version.
Testing
Launch the LanGuard console and go to Configuration > Scanning Profile Editor. Select the scanning profile that you are using, go to Vulnerability Assessment Options > Patches, and sort the patches by the Date posted to verify that definitions are up to date.
