Overview
You cannot get the second domain to appear correctly neither in the Computer Tree nor in the auto-remediation wizard to patch the computers.
Solution
The issue of getting the second domain to appear correctly can be caused by dis-joined domain names, configuration files corruption or incorrect credentials for the second domain.
- Follow the Why Cannot LanGuard Add a Second AD or Access the Domain Controller with Dis-Joined Domain Names? article first, and see if the proper configuration and network connectivity solve the problem.
- If the issue persists, the activedirectorycomputers.xml configuration file may be corrupted. Delete the second domain/all the results of unsuccessful attempts from the Computer Tree, and follow the solution from the Why did LanGuard not import the OU when synchronizing with AD? article to reset the cache file and synchronize the domain.
- Ensure the correct credentials are used for the second domain - right-click on the domain name in Computer Tree, go to the Properties, and verify/correct the alternative credentials used.
Testing
Synchronize LanGuard Computer Tree with the second domain and verify if it appears correctly. If the issue persists, contact GFI LanGuard Support and attach the C:\ProgramData\GFI\LanGuard 12\Cache\activedirectorycomputers.xml
file.
