You want to know whether CMS needs a separate database or if it can use the LanGuard database.

Solution

Installing the Central Management Server (CMS) will create a separate database called LGCMCScanresult12, which would serve to synchronize data from across any LanGuard installations connected to it.

When you only have one LanGuard installation, the data in both databases would be almost identical, but a separate database is still required for the CMS functionality.
