Resolving Detection Issues when Scanning MacBook

Overview

You tried to scan a MacBook and found that the scan does not properly detect the MacOS system, hardware, and pending updates.

Solution

The inaccurate or incomplete detection may be due to missing requirements for a successful scan or the errors caused by the irrelevant Windows checks from one of the default scanning profiles being used.

  1. Please, go through the Requirements to Scan and Patch macOS Computers and ensure each of them.
  2. It is recommended to Create a New Scanning Profile for Linux/macOS and use it to scan the MacOS machine(s).

Testing

Rerun the scan of the MacBook. If the issue persists, contact GFI LanGuard Support.
