Overview

You want to search or create a report to show if GFI LanGuard checks specific CVE/OVAL, searchable by CVE.

Solution

As long as CVE is related to a product supported by GFI LanGuard, you do not have to worry about the definitions to be added. To search for CVE definition in LanGuard:

1. Update LanGuard to ensure that you have the latest vulnerability definitions.
2. Launch LanGuard console and go to Configuration > Scanning Profile Editor. Alternatively, press CTRL + P to launch the editor.
3. Pick the Full Scan profile and go to Vulnerability Assessment Options > Vulnerabilities.
4. In the right pane, you can search CVE entries you are looking for and check their details.
