Overview

You can install agents on the servers running on Windows Core Operating Systems, yet agent scanning fails with various errors, such as "Remote Registry - Access Denied."

Information

Windows Server Core Operating systems are stripped by Microsoft and do not include all software libraries required for Languard Agents, and LanGuard cannot register necessary DLL files. Refer to the article What is the Server Core installation option in Windows Server? for the functionality stripped from Server Core.

This prevents LanGuard Agents from functioning correctly on Server Core Operating Systems. There is no known workaround to this issue, as this is OS-level limitations from Microsoft.
