Computer tab is blank after LanGuard is updated

Overview

You may notice that the Computer tab is blank after you update LanGuard.

Solution

This issue occurs in non-English versions of GFI LanGuard, after upgrading the product. The cause is that the computersoverview.resources.dll file is not updated properly, and doesn't match the other program files.

This issue will be fixed in version 12.6. As a workaround, you may do the following:

  1. Close the LanGuard console.
  2. Download computersoverview.dll​ attached to this article.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\LanGuard 12 (default path) and make a copy of the original computersoverview.dll​.
  4. Copy the file downloaded in step 2 and paste it in C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\LanGuard 12​, making sure to replace the existing file if prompted.
  5. Launch the LanGuard console and verify if the computers are displayed again.
